Our Bolivia project team will travel to Cochabamba to conduct health surveys and perform an initial assessment for our large-scale water project in 6 communities.
May, 2007 Location: Bernadino Diaz Ochoa, Nicaragua
AnnMarie Spexet, P.E., Sara Beck, and Ed Tom will travel to Nicaragua as professional mentors to the EWB-Rice Nicaragua 2 team. They will provide water and power to the health clinic the EWB-Rice team is constructing.

Brian Davis will travel to San Jose Villanueva as a professional mentor for the EWB-Rice University El Salvador team.
April, 2007 Location: Colonia Esmeralda, El Salvador
Brian Davis and Jose Moreira will travel to Colonia Esmeralda to continue water testing and close out our first two projects in the community: a well-drilling and retaining wall construction project.

Dave Rubin traveled to Piedritas Mexico as a professional mentor for the EWB-Rice Mexico team. They constructed and tested multiple biosand filters.
February, 2007 Location: Colonia Esmeralda, El Salvador
EWB Central Houston member Tim Wippold, P.E. traveled to Colonia Esmeralda to test water from the new well , check up on retaining wall construction, and close out the well-drilling project.

EWB-Central Houston member Guo-Pin Fuan, P.E. traveled to Jinotepe, Nicaragua with the EWB-Rice Nicaragua 1 group as a professional mentor.

Location: Colonia Esmerlada, El Salvador Reason: Brian Davis and Jose Moreira traveled to Colonia Esmeralda to make preparations for the well-drilling and retaining wall construction.
September 24th - 29th, 2006 Location: Tiembla Tierra and Santa Carlota, El Salvador
Reason: John & Dan LeBlanc, Erin Lyons, Pauravi Shah, Ruby and Pankaj Wadhwa, and Sara Beck traveled to the communities of Tiembla Tierra and Santa Carlota, which are right next to Colonia Esmeralda to conduct an assessment for our sanitation pipeline project.
March 28th - April 19th, 2006
Location: Andhra Pradesh, India
Reason: EWB-Central Houston implementation trip. AnnMarie Spexet, P.E. and three other EWB members traveled to India to install a well and pump to bring clean water to a primary school. In addition, they also installed 16 bore wells across 4 communities, a solar powered pump and 1200L cistern for drinking water, and a solar powered streetlight. A site assessment was also performed for the next phases of this project.

Location: El Panama, Nicaragua
Reason: EWB-Central Houston member Guo-Pin Fuan, P.E. traveled to Jinotepe, Nicaragua with the EWB-Rice Nicaragua 1 group as a professional mentor. The group worked on implementation of a rainwater catchment system and assessment for their bridge construction project in the community of El Panama.

Reason: EWB-Central Houston member Dave Rubin traveled to Piedritas, Coahuila, Mexico with the EWB-Rice Mexico group as a professional mentor. The group worked on a water distribution project in the community.
